    PSA Cocktail Reception 2026

    The Pension Schemes Association (PSA) hosted a cocktail reception on 25 March 2026, bringing together MPF scheme providers, trustees, pension industry practitioners and regulator to exchange views and strengthen collaboration as Hong Kong’s MPF landscape continues to evolve.   The evening opened with a welcome address by Ms. Charlotte Chan, Chairlady of the PSA, who highlighted a key milestone of MPF assets have reached HK$1.5 trillion in just 25 years and are expected to triple over the next two decades. With eMPF Platform now up and running, she emphasised the importance of industry stakeholders joining forces to strengthen retirement adequacy of the broader population.   Mr. Cheng Yan‑chee, Managing Director of the MPFA,  affirmed the dedication of trustees and the eMPF Platform, noting that their combined efforts have contributed to a successful implementation. He also shared the MPFA’s upcoming priorities and advocacy directions to support the continued development of Hong Kong’s MPF system.   As the industry navigates ongoing reforms and digital transformation, the event served as a timely reminder of the value of partnership, shared responsibility and open dialogue in shaping a more efficient and member‑centric MPF system.

    PSA Annual Dinner 2025

    On 18 September 2025, the Pension Schemes Association (PSA) hosted its Annual Dinner at the Hong Kong Jockey Club, welcoming over 100 industry leaders and senior management member from the MPFA. The event provided a valuable platform for networking and collaboration as the MPF industry enters a new era.   Charlotte Chan, Acting Chairperson of the PSA, gave a warm welcome to guests to open the event. She highlighted the PSA’s achievements this year, including hosting industry events, collaborating with EY on thought leadership, and expanding the community with new corporate members. Looking ahead, she emphasised the need for ongoing reform to make the MPF system more inclusive, flexible, and sustainable.   Cynthia Hui, Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director of the MPFA, gave a keynote speech to thank all trustees for their support of the MPF system over the past 25 years. Ms. Hui shared the latest updates on the eMPF Platform and explained how the Platform will benefit the public, allowing trustees to focus on creating better returns, products, and value for their members as all trustees come on board in the coming months.   As the dinner concluded, PSA reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening industry ties and supporting Hong Kong’s workforce in achieving their retirement goals.

    PSA Seminar 2025 - Global Market Outlook

    To foster deeper industry insights into global investment trends, the Pension Schemes Association hosted the 2025 Investment Seminar: Global Market Outlook on 26 June 2025. The event drew a strong turnout of pension professionals, asset managers, and industry stakeholders, creating a vibrant and engaging atmosphere. Distinguished Speaker Line-up The seminar featured three seasoned investment experts who shared their perspectives on global market developments and future investment directions: Mr. Alex Liu – Head of Fixed Income Research & Director, Taikang Asset Management Ms. Marcella Chow – Executive Director & Global Market Strategist, J.P. Morgan Asset Management Mr. William Kung – Portfolio Manager, Multi-asset, China AMC Moderated by Mr. Ivan Au, Partner at EY, the panel discussion covered a wide range of timely topics, including interest rate trends, geopolitical risks, alternative asset investments, and market outlooks for the U.S., Mainland China, and Hong Kong. The session also emphasized the importance of portfolio diversification in today’s dynamic environment. Uniting Professional Expertise for a Stronger Retirement Future Beyond delivering valuable market insights, the seminar served as a platform for industry collaboration and knowledge exchange.     PSA Cocktail Reception 2025

    On 20 March 2025, the Pension Schemes Association (PSA) hosted an engaging cocktail reception that connected MPF providers, industry experts, and stakeholders to strengthen collaborations toward our shared goals.   The event began with a welcome address from Mr. Roderick Koliloedjoer, Chairman of the PSA. He highlighted key initiatives that will take place within the current year, including the abolition of the MPF Offsetting Arrangement and the full operation of the eMPF platform. He emphasized the importance of industry-wide collaboration in achieving our common goal of helping individuals secure their desired retirement.   Mr. Cheng Yan-chee, Managing Director of MPFA, echoed this sentiment, stressing the collective effort required for success. He noted that the implementation of MPF full portability is on the horizon, thanks to advancements made with the eMPF platform.     PSA Annual Dinner 2024

    On 26 September 2024, the Pension Schemes Association (PSA) hosted its Annual Dinner at The Hong Kong Jockey Club, bringing together over 100 key industry stakeholders, including senior management from the MPFA. This gathering was an important moment for networking and forging stronger ties amidst the dawn of a new era of MPF.   The event was opened by Mr. Roderick Koliloedjoer, Chairman of the PSA, who thanked everyone for joining.  Mr. Koliloedjoer highlighted PSA’s key achievements over the past twelve months, including the release of the second joint thought leadership publication with Ernst & Young. This publication zooms in on how emerging technologies like AI are set to transform the future of Hong Kong’s pensions industry.   The highlight of the evening was a keynote speech by Mr. Cheng Yan-chee, Managing Director of the MPFA.  Mr. Cheng shared the latest developments of the eMPF Platform, emphasizing that eMPF, guided by the principle of “MPF of the People, for the People” will usher the MPF System into the “new digital era”, making it a more robust retirement savings system for the working population of Hong Kong.   As the evening concluded, the PSA looks forward to another impactful year. We remain committed to strengthening our role in the industry and helping Hong Kong’s workforce achieve their desired retirement.

    PSA Seminar 2024 - “Revolutionising MPF: Embracing the Digital Age for Growth and Innovation”

    Organized by The Pension Schemes Association (PSA), the panel event “Revolutionising MPF: Embracing the Digital Age for Growth and Innovation” was successfully held on 27 June 2024, The event was attended by key industry stakeholders and representatives, including senior management from MPFA.In his welcome speech, Mr. Roderick Koliloedjoer, Chairman of the PSA, thanked everyone for joining the event to explore the future of the pension industry in a post-eMPF world.Emerging technologies are transforming the way that the industry operates today. Building on this premise, the moderator of the seminar,  the Partner (Technology Consulting) of Ernst & Young (EY), Mr. Chris Barford offered a sneak peek into the 2nd joint thought leadership publication between PSA & EY titled “The Digitalisation Revolution – Transforming the future of the MPF Industry”, which zoomed into how innovations such as AI and robo-advisory would shape the future of Hong Kong’s retirement business with a focus on planning.Following the opening remarks by Chief Operating Officer of MPFA Ms. Cynthia Hui, speakers of the event kick-started an engaging panel forum to delve into the new technologies and innovation developments across investment advisory as well as financial and retirement planning. Industry observations on how MPF industry should leverage digitalisation to further enhance member satisfaction were also shared.Our heartfelt thanks to Rainbow Pan, Taosha Wang, and Sunny Tsang for exchanging deep insights and creating industry synergies in this thought-provoking event with the common goal to shape a better future for Hong Kong's pension landscape.
